How to Choose a Bathroom Tile

July 6, 2017

When renovating your bathroom, it may seem like your to-do list will never get shorter. If you’re doing the work yourself, then you’ll have the role of project manager and contractor. If you’ve hired a professional, you’ll need to ensure that the job goes as planned, and on time. Either way, you’ll need to make choices that will dictate how your bathroom will look for years to come. One of the biggest, and most versatile, pieces of your bathroom renovation is the bathroom tile.

Going through all of the different variations of tile can be overwhelming, exhausting, and confusing! We’ve put together some tips to help you pick out the perfect bathroom tile for your home without all the fuss:

There are a variety of tile types to choose from, including glass, ceramic, and stone. If you’re looking for an upscale look with tons of shine, you’ll want to choose a glass tile. Glass tends to be more expensive than other tiles, but will definitely last. If you’re looking for a less expensive option, than ceramic may suit your needs. Ceramic tile is easy to install and easy to clean, which makes it an appealing option. Is neutral your thing? Stone tile provides a more organic feel and comes in different varieties making it look textured and unique.

Once you’ve picked out the type of tile you want, it will narrow down your choices. Now it’s time to narrow your selection even further. Browse through the different colors and patterns of tile until you find several that you love. After that, be sure to narrow it down to just three.

You may not be able to choose one that you love right away, but it will be easier choose three. Once you’ve chosen three tiles, take some time and find the one you’re really happy with.
